| This is a blend from a great little tobacco shop in Cape Girardeau, MO. It is definitely an English, but is not one of those strong English blends where you taste mostly Latakia. There is some Latakia, but it blends in well with the Virginias. The Burley comes into play and leaves you with a very pleasant nutty, buttery flavor to complement the smokiness of the Latakia and the earthiness of the Virginias. This is not really a heavy English blend (not like the G.L Pease or Dunhill style blends). But then again, most of the blends in this shop are aromatics, just as most of the Boswell blends are aromatics. But, like Boswells, when this shop does an English blend, they do it well.
I found this blend a very enjoyable smoke to end the day with. I sat back with a bowl of this and a glass of scotch one night, and a bowl of this with a strong cup of English style tea the next, and it went well with both. I should also comment that it absolutely refused to bite, even when I puffed vigorously to see how it would respond. Smoked great in a meerschaum, Missouri Meerschaum corn cob, and in a few different briars.
