if some enthsiasts can find a tin in 2012 that is worth buying and we may hope that the brand will produce it permanently under another name a very satisfactory smoke as noticed by other reviewers; nice vanilla flavour topping it to be recommended to smokers unfamiliar with aromatic tocaccos and willing to have a try

I went into my local tobacconist to find the Limited Edition 2012 tin and found that only this was available. It was tucked back behind some other tins and facing away from the customer. I took it, paid, walked outside, and before I could sit on a bench I started to dig into the tin. Inside the decorative tin I found a cellophane bag wrapped and sealed with W.O.Larsen tape. Through the bag a beautiful mix of black, brown, and tan tobaccos could be seen. Once opened, the smell of vanilla and maple was strong, but not over-powering. It looked a bit dry and I worried it would burn hot and fast. One, two, three pinches and the bowl was loaded to a perfect sponginess. This is where the true magic of this blend begins; two matches and one tamp later I sat back and enjoyed a wonderful blend of taste and smell. Never hot, and never burned out, this tobacco smoked to the bottom of the bowl smooth and easy, coaxed only by a tamp now and again. Pleasant notes of vanilla and caramel wafting into the air I found myself pleased that I hadn't found the 2012.

This is an exquisite aromatic. I am just sorry it is not produced on a regular basis, but at least I have two more unopened tins of it. I have been pipe smoking for a little over a year now, and have tried about two dozen tobaccos, including aromatics and English blends. This is by far my favorite aromatic, but I am also enjoying Peterson's Special Reserve 2011. I've also tried -- and have two more tins -- of Larsen's 2011 Limited Edition. Although it is quite good and pleasant to smoke, the 2010 limited edition is a cut above in flavor and taste.

I was unsure of what to expect as I popped open this tin. But as soon as I had the bag inside the tin open, the floral casings on this blend were almost overwhelming--it smells delicious before it ever sees flame.

This is a beautifully flavored aromatic. There is a firm foundation of tobacco flavor, and built upon that are hints of fruity floral flavorings. In some ways, the casings on this blend remind me of the casings used in the Sillem's tobaccos. The smoke is thick, and the room note it produces is phenomenal. In the bowl, this tobacco burns well all the way down to a fine gray ash, requiring few if any relights. One of the best parts for me is that, despite it being a heavily flavored aro, it did not bite at all. I know a few MacBaren aro's that could learn a thing or two from this Limited Edition 2010.

This is a high quality aromatic mixture, very nutty, semi sweet with fruity flavor and with subtle vanilla and floral aroma in the background, I could not detect any brandy in it. the smoke is extremely cool on the palate for an aromatic, with no bite whatsoever, the presentation is very well done and the tin-box is beautiful, I would highly recommend this blend for aromatic smokers.
