I was really disappointed with this Clan Shaw blend. Upon opening the pouch I was greeted with a very pleasant honey aroma. You could smell the sweetness. Too bad it didn?t smoke the way it smells. When I first lit my pipe I was greeted with a distinct honey flavor but it wore off quickly and turned bitter by the end of the bowl. This pattern was repeated for just about every bowl I smoked. At first I thought that maybe my pipe just needed to be cleaned but after cleaning the pipe it didn?t help much, it was just a little less bitter. I tried it in another pipe with the same result. Too bad, I thought this blend had the potential to be a great aromatic but as it is, it?s just not worth smoking.
