| Garryowen is the first plug I smoked that wasn't made by one of the Gawiths; and proved somewhat of a revelation. A plug tobacco doesn't neccesarily have to become the Incredible Hulk upon the first light.
Rather, Garryowen is a pleasantly sweet-tasting Virginia leaf smoke. The sweetness has certainly been enhanced, but not by much, and not in a gross way. I would rank the smoking experience as being about on par with S.Gawith's Full Virginia Flake, or Rattray's Hal o' the Wind. The bother of preparing the plug, if it may be considered that, is counter-balanced by the extra coolness and the extra time in the smoking.
Good stuff.
