Despite the name, this seems to bare little resemblance to its namesake, appart from the composition. We have here a VaPer, high on the périque side and has to be one of the strongest tobaccos I've ever smoked. Its smell out of the bag is sweet and thick with buttery notes to it. A bit thicker than what I'd expect out of a VaPer, but decidedly interesting, its what decided me on trying it. The taste starts strong on the peppery side of périque and mellows down when balanced out by the nutty and woodsy aroma that devellops in the background. Its an interesting smoke that dances back and forth between the virginia and périque yet never quite settles on a dominant taste.

But a strong word of caution, this little baccy is a power bomb... the first few times I smoked it I was dizzied to the point of nausea and retching. Now I'm aware I don't pair well with strong nicotine, but this is way off my scale. I've been able to enjoy this smoke but with every precaution taken: smoke as slowly as your pipe will let you, smoke on an immediately full stomach, keep yourself hydrated and I found it to be mellowed out by smoking it in my longer stemmed prince of whales. I'd be inclined to go churchwarden on this one if I had one on hand.

So, overall: interesting taste, but its way too much hastle to get around its inhuman strength for me to give it more than two stars.
