This is an interesting tobacco. Highly aromatic, actually too much for me already. I mixed it with other tobaccos and found it to be much better as supplemental tobacco. Tin aroma is a mix of dried fruits, alcohols, nuts, a hint of honey and caramel - generally quite sweet. If you have a tin of this laying around, try to mix it with other tobaccos. The room note is excellent, people around me seem to like it very much and associate it to "the typical pipe smell". Don't want to give it 3 of 4 stars, but 3 of 5.

Interesting blend, but the cubes are no very good to keep lit. It tends to burn a bit hot. The aroma is oka, nougat and almonds like... Not a keeper. Not a total disaster either. An OK blend if you get a sample.

First off, at the time of this writing, the tin picture for this blend shows the tin of the Danish Truffles, not the Danish Truffles Mix (and I can see how the names are easily confused)

To the tobacco, it's heavily cased and flavoured, with nuts, maybe almonds, and lots of other things in there making a pleasant aromatic, which is quite a bit less strongly flavoured than the Danish Truffles. The leaf is wild; bits of several shapes and processing forms are found in the light to medium brown blend. The tin aroma is very nice, a little nutty and fruity.

Stuffing is easy, maintenance also, and it burns slowly and coolly for those who don't drag too hard. The taste is full without being too strong; sweet and without bite. There is a little tar in there at the very end of the bowl, but not so much that I'd stop smoking until the last bit has burned.

Standing alone, this is a very nice aromatic with a great room note.

A note on the tin says, though, that this blend is intended to be a mix-in for Danish Truffles, to mix to your own taste. Doing that will make the Danish Truffles over into something else entirely; I tried several proportions of both tobaccos, and at 50/50, the mix of both blends becomes a four-stars affair that has the better properties of both components, burns very easily, is not too top-heavy and somehow loses the tendency of both to turn tarry at the end.

My tip for the lovers of strong aromatics would be to buy both the Danish Truffles and the Danish Truffles Mix, and mix them up until you find "it."
