One of the few pipe tobaccos of which I couldn't finish a tin. That's not to say It won't suit someone else perfectly but there is a lot of bite and quite a strong aftertaste which is , I assume, from the Latakia content.

I found a tin of this on Ebay and thought it was a no longer produced blend. At least that's what the seller said, and Ebay sellers don't ever lie, do they?

Anyhoo, this tasted almost identical to Mac Baren's Latakia Mixture. It was very mild (almost to the point of being flat) in flavor. Although the Syrian Latakia came through, it was most certainly deep in the background with the Virginia leaf on the front lines.

This blend will bite if you are a seeker of nicotine, which I am. The agressive puffs searching for that drug led to a rather strong nip that kept my waggle in a sling for a day or two.

If Cremon Mixture has indeed ceased being produced, I won't shed any tears.
