| So mild you taste nothing but Air, or the ghost flavor that's left from your last smoke. It leaves you wanting to fill your pipe again, but with something that has some taste to it.

| The aroma and flavor of this blend is fantastic. Im usually not big on aeromatics but I must say I thoroughly enjoy this one. Just be careful it will bite if provoked.

| It's an ok blend. It is a nice ribbon cut, and smells great in the jar. Plain nut packs easily, and it smokes down nicely to about the lower 1/3. This blend has a nice almondish nut flavor it, just on the top of each puff. It left more wetness in the bottom than I care for though, and I smoke other aromatics.
Top notch looking tobacco though, and I will enjoy the rest of the 2 ounces I purchased awhile back. I might pick up more, but only if I go back to McCranies. I won't die if I don't have this blend, its pleasant but nothing more.

| This blend smells to me more of a chocolate. It came to me as a sample with justg #110 and McClelland and I thought it was their chocolate blend. It smells good enough to eat in the pouch, a mottled mixture of alight and dark tobaccos. It loaded very easily into my pipe and was not at all too sticky though was moist. Upon lighting it, it had a light chocolate flavor and a very burley taste and aroma. As I smoked it, the hazelnut note did come out but not really strong. The VA twang was in the background and it seemed a little biting without actually doing so. It stayed lit very well and burned down to a grey ash and little dottle and moisture in the bottom of my pipe. It never felt that this was a breakthrough blend and I will finsih the pouch as it's a pleasant smoke, but is a little blah to me so won't buy any more. It is a nice burley smoke and great in a cobb.

| This tobacco has a great tin note. I think it maybe the best around. The room note is also wonderful, but the taste does not deliver on its initial impression, or not at first. At the top of the bowl it is a fairly mild aromatic, and it gets richer as the bowl progresses. It is kind of like a rich pie, the further you get toward the end the more concentrated the taste. I do not smoke this tobacco alone, but do find it nice to mix with burly blends. It just seems to give them some body. It has all the aromatic "issues" that you expect, but is absolutely worth putting up with.

| This is a wonderful blend. The pre-light armoa smells like a peanut butter cup. A lot of aromatics I've smoked smelled great however didn't quite taste as good as they smelled but not this one. The flavour doesn't come out very strong at first but it's thick room odor aids the development of the flavour. This has become one of my favorites as a dessert pipe after a fine meal.
It works REALLY well if you enjoy it with a rich coffee. The flavours just mix.

| Probably a good blender. Not too exciting by itself. Good quality tobacco though.

| Burley to tobacco blending is like tofu to Chinese cooking. Both have a creamy bland quality without having anything to do with dairy, and both are used in a variety of recipes because they have the reputation of taking (or enhancing) the taste of the other ingredients in the mix. A taster familiar with them can usually detect their presence, but sometimes both tofu and burley can disguise themselves so clandestinely as to fool even the most discerning palate.
If for no other reasons but their relative simplicity, and their chameleon like adaptability to transform themselves, and what they touch, both tofu and burley are noble, if somewhat bland, human accomplishments. Most people either love them or hate them. I love burley?or rather I love the idea of burley just as I love the idea of tofu--even if man can not live on burley (or tofu) alone.
If you have ever wondered why anyone would take good tobacco and top it with the essence of fruit, vanilla, or chocolate, the blandness of burley is the reason why. Like tofu it screams to take on, even steal, the identity of something else. Which brings us to McClelland?s Bulk 110 blend. Sure it?s topped, even cased?but who cares?
This blend may not be too complex but if you want to remember the fireplace where as a child you hung your Christmas stockings, or grandpa?s pipe, or the comforts of the doctor who prescribed you your first cough syrup (preferably with Codeine), or even the inflexible ways of the math teacher who kicked you out of class for not paying attention, then you owe it to yourself to try McClelland 110. You should try this tobacco even if you are not feeling nostalgic because it will explain why topping a blend can be a very legitimate undertaking. Order a double serving of Egg Foo Young, then pack your pipe, kickback, and enjoy this blend.

| This is another one of my favorite aromatic tobaccos to smoke.
The cut is a ribbon cut Burley with Virginia cased in a nutty flavor, pack firmly but with a slight spring. The blend has the touch of a silky soft tobacco and smokes quite easily and very mild. This is definately an all day tobacco with no tongue bite and a gentle taste. I smoke this is a Bjarne Giant Brandy Glass that will hold about 1.5 ounces of tobacco, this I need both hands to hold as the pipe itself weighs 158g.
I find Nut to be very similar to McClelland?s Mellow Mack if not one in the same.
