There are many other blends that have a stronger cherry taste than this, but it's designed to be moderate. It's pleasant to taste and to smell, but if you puff real fast, it gets hot tasting. It won't ghost your pipe, and there's not much nicotine in it, so if you want something more exciting, go elsewhere. However, if you just want the essence of the cherry taste, this will work for you.

I smoked this from the Tinderbox in the 1980s and found it to be one of the better tasting cherry tobaccos. The cherry flavoring was by no means chemical in taste and while smoking it tasted as it smelled in the pouch. It had a tendency to smoke hot if pushed, but a slow puffing cadence brought out not only the cherry flavoring, but a nice tobacco taste as well. I agree with the blend notes that this tobacco should be listed under the Tinderbox database as it is still readily available throughout their chain. Recommended as a nice flavored cavendish any time of the day.

Another example of TBI trying to attract Captain Black smokers to their mall shops. As I recall, it smoked extremely hot and tasted like a red lollipop. I tried it only once despite some prodding from the boss.

As a smoker who usually avoids aromatics, I bought this on a whim when it was first introduced. My first impression was positive as I found the blend to be mild and easy on the tongue. It also had the most pleasant room note of any aromatic I've tried. I recently bought some on a whim again and found the same characteristics. Highly recommended for aromatic fanciers. Totally forgettable for more highly evolved smokers.
