| Plum and Rum is a jet-black chopped ribbon that has a slight sweet-and-sour aroma in the bag. Smoked, it has a deep, dark, slightly bitter taste that isn't unpleasant, but one that reminds me how little I care for the taste of anise in tobacco. This blend is a mild but consistent biter. All told, like all Cornell and Diehl blends, this is a big step up from the typical aromatic. It smokes to a fine grey ash, burns well, and leaves no gummy dottle. Not for me, really, but if you like the taste of anise, you might like this a great deal.
