I got a 1.5oz of Dorset blend from a recent box pass. To be quite honest, I didn't expect much. In fact, when I saw it, I nearly passed it by. I'm glad I didn't. The cut is very interesting to look at and smells wonderful. The flavor far exceeded my expectations. This mid-range English could be an all day smoke, as it is not overpowering in either strength or flavor. I'll most likely be smoking more Dorset.

Thanks again to Altadis for keeping my local pipe club loaded with its blend of the month. Dorset Blend was well received recently by my club members. It is a ribbon/cube cut blend that is light on the Latakia and heavier on the Orientals and Virginia leaf. Dorset Blend is not quite on a par with tinned versions of similar content, but you can't beat the price. It also burns clean, dry and cool.
