I recently made a trip to Nat Sherman's flagship store in Manhattan. I bought two ounces of this after checking out all of the other house blends offered in bulk.

I like the yellow string cut virginia and brown string cut burley. The mixture has a good 50/50 base of the two. The black cavendish is just sprinkled in here and adds to a subtle sweetness that pleases, but does not overwhealm.

The pouch aroma is amazing and the room note matches. Light vanilla, coconut cream, and nutty.

This is very light tobacco and could be smoked all day. Lights up right away and can be smoked with no effort. I have pushed this stuff and it does not bite. It also is not "goopy" which means it doesn't smoke wet.

I would highly recommend to those who like a subtle, easy smoking mixture.

Other than the fact that I found the room note to be quite pleasant, I pretty much found this tobacco to be a non-entity.

It packed, lit and smoked with ease, and didn't bite in the least. But it has little strength, flavor and taste. There pretty much isn't a reason to smoke this.

I was sent this by a good friend of mine in NYC, along with roughly eight other blends of Nat Sherman tobaccos. Somehow, I tried this one first, although usually this is not something I would ordinarily try.

The description of this is quoted verbatim from the Nat Sherman website and, admittedly, does not offer much insight into what this blend actually offers. After having smoked it, I'm sorry to say that it still remains equally unremarkable, with the exception of stressing the fact that the word "nutty" should be underlined and placed in bold-faced font. That is the over-riding flavor in this blend and, honestly, it was as if somebody had infused this tobacco with some manner of peanut or walnut oil. Very nutty indeed.

The taste, nose and overall effect of this tobacco is fairly mild. It's kind of a like a higher-dollar version of Borkum Riff. Not entirely a travesty amongst tobacco blends, but not something to reach for over and over again.
