| This blend is often sold under a "house" name by tobacconists. While the description says that this is "matured" tobacco, it isn't the most flavorful stuff you have ever tried right from the start. You can tell that this is mostly bright Virginias, and it has a nice sweetness and hay-like smell to it. But, it smokes hot, and is not especially exciting when new.
I aged some of this for about two years in a mason jar in my basement. It improved markedly. I would compare this to Peter Stokkebye's Luxury Twist Flake, but without the vanilla topping. The sweetness blossoms, the sharp edge and bite mellow significantly, and variation in flavors become evident. I have tried this with the addition of Perique, which richens the flavor, but I prefer this as a straightforward, unaltered bright Virginia.
