I mostly belive that there's some virginia here in the form of red viginia cavendish and black cavendish with some kind of cinnamon agent the provides the flavor, it taste just like smells in the pouch and it is one beautiful thing to look at. the spicey flavor is consistent through the bowl and it's should always be smoked in the largest bowl possible, one of the reviewer described it as a jalapeno flavor and another one describes it as clove flavor to each is own, but to me taste like a good VAPER should taste like with spicy/sweetness combo being consistent, this could be an all day smoke for some one who likes spicey food.

Update 1/24/2010: Does not age well turn bland, tasteless and very dry. downgrading to 2 stars.

Try mixing a wonderful burley blend, with some clove spice....WOW. Nice taste. All the components mix for a great tobacco taste, with some spice flavor, but mostly you'll notice it in your moustach. Your lips taste kinda sweet and spicey- The room note is not at all offensive to the fairer sex. My wife is very open with her opinions of various blends- But is didn't mind this on at all. Try it if your looking for the allusive blend your lady friend won't mind..

I always get a kick out of how C&D describes some of their strongest blends as Mild. This is no exception and is nearly as strong as their Scots Pub blend (awful stuff). It's a nice mix of rough cut browns and some black. The pouch aroma is fairly spicy but in a jalapeno way. It tickles the nose with a good sniff and there's not a distinguishable flavor to it. It's faily dry for their blends and extremely dry for an aromatic, so hopefully mold won't be a concern this time. Lighting is fairly easy and packing is wonderful in a large bowl, but a pain in a smaller bowl. The taste is just as described. It's spicy in a non-aromatic way and can burn the throat a little. I always blame that to the moisture content and not the tobacco though. The room aroma is smokey but again, nothing you can put your finger on. I have a hard time classifying this as an aromatic. It seems like it's something that Bob R. would have made up and marketed under the English line, but this has been around for a long time. If you like a straight forward tobacco taste with no bite (something else that most C&D blends do to me) I'd heartily recommend it. I'm really enjoying it and the light topping might might make it more room friendly than other natural blends. This will be in my rotation for quite some time- just for the unique spicy taste and real tobacco flavor. Probably the best thing I've tried from C&D in a long time...glad I took a shot with it.
