Touted as a blending tobacco. Orange to orange brown in the bag with C&D's typical coarse chop cut. Extra heavy aroma of turkish tobacco.

I guess they call this Mild Turkish because 1/2 of the blend is mild cavendish. The Turkish half is anything but mild. I used McClellands blending orientals and the flavor was very subdued compared to this. This one is heavy on the orientals. The flavor is the usual sandalwood, incense and spice but to the power of 10. This needed to be blended with care and I added about 5% to various homebrews with good success. 5% was plenty for me. Smoked alone, it is heavy, heavy, heavy on the Turkish flavors and this would be a great blend to try for those who don't quite have a good handle on what orientals do to a blend. Granted, this is one version of a myriad of oriental combos, but this will still provide a clear view into basic Turkish tobacco. The flavor was like some of the McClellands Grand Oriental series but with more testosterone than I care for, straight. Excellent blender, though, and highly recommended for what I believe to be its intended use.
