| I'm a pretty big fan of Davis and Sons tobaccos, particularly their aromatic stuff. I'm also a big fan of a good english/balkan, so naturally I gave one of their English blends a go.
Simply put,and perhaps not to my suprise, its just not up to par with a lot of the good tin english blends that i have tried. Despite being sold completely dried out, it burns rather hot. It also leaves a rather bitter taste on the palate that I can't quite place. It's not that is completely unpleasant to smoke, its just not nearly as good as their aromatic blends (which i believe they pretty much focus upon anyways).
