Light and dark brown ribbons comprise this blend, which smells like lightly flavored/sweetened tobacco with hints of vanilla and caramel. It's not goopey and is the right moisture to pack and light up a bowl. The flavors are nice and mild and hint towards an aromatic, but are not overpowering. Sweet tobacco is what you taste with some vanilla hints here and there. Quite a nice blend and I'm glad that I tried it, but won't be one I smoke on a regular basis. I can see this being an all day smoke for those that enjoy mellow aromatic blends.

Very erratic uniformity when it comes to the cut of this blend, including a lot of dust in the bottom of my pouch. Made up of majority medium brown tobacco, some light brown and a dash of black Cavendish.

Pouch aroma seems to have a slight nougat topping, on the contrary to the description. Most Boswell tobacco come with perfect smoking moisture. Even when squeezed between the fingers, it doesn't get sticky, telling me there isn't any PG added for moisture.

Loads well, and lights and packs great. Just like most blends from JM.

Initial puffs have a wonderful nougat/vanilla sweetness, and there is some natural tobacco flavoring to be had. As you get into the 2nd half, more natural tobacco leads the way, but there is still ample sweetness. I've never had a Boswell blend bite my tongue, but this one did sting a bit.

It's not my favorite from Boswell, but it could be yours. 3.5 stars for a terrific aromatic!

I have to admit I was a bit disappointed in the Boswell offering. I bought the Autumn sampler pack, and this was included.

Seems to be a blend of ribbon cut darks and lights. Tin note was really pleasant. It's a light smoke that is slow burning. Puts out a good bit of white smoke. It's not bad. Light smoke with a hint of undefined sweetness. Somewhere between a vague caramel or nougat.

The flavoring is extremely mild, even my Boswell standards. I was having trouble picking up much taste wise other than the sweetness itself. It was very mild and undefined sweetness.

I think my knock was that it had a bit of a spicy tongue bite. This really surprised me, as Boswell blends are usually smooth as silk in the tongue bite department. As vague and mild as this blend was, the tongue bite was not particularly worth it.

I will finished the 1 ounce sampler of this I got, but doubt I will order any more of this blend. It was the weakest of the 8 in the Autumn/Fall sampler. The Hunters Blend however was amazing.

The description is pretty much spot on. Mild, slow-burning, and a hint of sweetness. The cut looks like a shredded ribbon, or the shake at the end of the jar/tin. It produces a decent volume of smoke, and takes a light with ease. I do feel a hint of bite that I'm not used to from Boswell's, however a slower cadence helps to keep it away. 2-1/2 stars
