Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG) Colts Cherry

(2.00)
A lively mix of golden Virginia tobaccos with reddish-brown burley and mellow black cavendish in mixture cut, refined with the characteristic aroma of ripe cherries and a hint of vanilla. Rich in flavor and yet gentle in smoke with the typical fragrant cherry room note.

The sealed pouch strongly smells like some cherry candy but when you open it, it smells more like morello.

It comes perfectly conditioned right from the pouch and it is easy to pack and to light up.

The taste is awful and far from cherries. It tastes like something trying to imitate cherry flavour, like something coming from survival rations or a bath sanitizer or a car freshener. The good news is that the worst of it wears off after about half the bowl. But what remains is equally awful. At no time it is pleasurable.

And yes, i do understand that everyone has that one cherry blend he likes and outright despises all the rest. But this blend here is just bad, really bad. And i really should have known better that a four euro cherry blend simply cannot taste good. But i fell for it cause i felt like having a cherry blend again. And as per usual in those cases i instantly regret what i did there to my pipe and palette. The pipe got a salt/alc treatment and survived ...

So, do i recommend this blend? Hell no. I cannot imagine a situation i would recommend a blend like this, ever. It doesn't even have a nice room note.

I am trying to at least find *something* positive but nothing comes to mind.

However, *should* you like this blend then they also make cigars with the same flavour which you probably would like as well.
