Gawith Hoggarth - Kendal Aniseed Brown Pigtail.
This isn't that bad for a chewing tobacco! In the pouch it looks the same as any of the pigtails and although it's marketed as being aromatic it smells only of Virginia. It looks a little too moist when first sliced but it isn't exactly soaked. The flavour of the smoke is similar to the aroma, the aniseed comes through really gently with the majority of the flavour being Virginia. This has a lot of nicotine to give, if inhaled your head may spin for a week! As I said, the aniseed is fairly vague and it stays this way for the whole pipe long, it doesn't increase in strength as the pipe burns.
As a straight Virginia this would score pretty highly but seeing as this is a 'supposed' aromatic with VERY LITTLE added flavouring coming through I can only somewhat recommend this. Two stars.
