I have a fellow pipe smoking friend in the Sarasota, Florida area who sends me new blends to try and review whenever Gary Bennington whips up another new one. #15 is not new, but I just never reviewed it for some reason. I am not sure whether this light English style tobacco would really please the English crowd as it does have quite a bit of Yenidje in it. I also am not sure it qualifies as a Balkan but perhaps more so than English. Light fare but, typical of this marvelous Florida Shop's owner/tobacconist Gary bennington, it is quality all the way.

One of my go-tos, I buy this at the Sarasota store and carry it in a tin with me when I go out. It's definitely an outdoor smoke, as while flavorful it can stink up a room with a distinctive and strong smell. It's got a spice and kick to it, very full in flavor, not very mild. It's the kind of smoke that's either your thing or not your thing. If you want something like #15 but without the strong odor or heavy spice, #5 is a similar blend, but aromatic. In the right circumstances, it's a fantastic, tasty smoke!
