The burley is nutty and cocoa sweet and is a little earthy. It is the dominant component, though the the smoky, woody sweet Cyprian latakia is omnipresent in every puff. The perique is a condimental addition; raisiny, figs and dates, and some spice. There’s an additional sweet flavor that I can’t identify, but it reminds me a little of unsweetened black cavendish. It may be that or it may come from a mild topping, which I suspect is the answer. I also get a lightly noticeable “vinegar” tanginess, which leads me to suspect McClelland tobacco was used, particularly from the latakia. The blend has an aromatic feel to the taste. It may need a little dry time, but it burns at a moderate pace, requires not that many relights, and the taste is creamy, smoothly consistent to the finish. Leaves a little moisture in the bottom of the bowl, but no dottle. Won't bite or get harsh. Has a slightly more than mild nic-hit, and a pleasant after taste. Two and a half stars.

I really like this blend. It's a ribbon cut of excellent quality burley, with a little latakia and perique. Very cool and delicious, with the latakia added in moderation and the perique slightly present in every puff. For those who like their taste on the milder side, this could be an all day puffer. Very satisfying without the strength and light on the nicotine. Burns beautifully to the bottom of the bowl. I will definitely order more.

I received a sample of this new blend from a friend . It was love at first puff and I ordered 16oz straight away. Received this 4 days ago and I've already smoked 50 grams of it.

This is the most lovely burley blend I've ever smoked. The burley is high quality, nutty and sweet at the same time. Latakia is there but, funny enough, also tastes sweet. Perique is subdued and you will have to "listen carefully" to hear it singing from the back row. But, this is NOT your usual burley/latakia/perique blend......this blend is unique. Sip it ever so slowly to enjoy all the nuances which come and go, all the time. You will taste roasted nuts, coffee, chocolate, dried fruit, spices, bbq, and many more !!!

Tobacco comes a bit moist but ready to smoke. Dark brown, coarse cut, easy to pack and light. Needs maybe two matches to get it going but then it stays lit. It burns slowly and an average bowl easily lasts an hour. Once more, sip it VERY slowly to enjoy this baccy to the fullest. I've left a bowl to dry out some but won't do it again as it became to strong for my taste. Nicotine is a bit above average but won't give you the shakes.

Room note is very nice for a blend which contains latakia. I've been smoking this in the house and my wife did not say a word!

I'm pretty sure everybody, and not burley lovers only, will fall in love with this unique blend.
