pipesandcigars.com Apple Fritter

(2.67)
What says fall better than the flavor and aroma of fresh apples with brown sugar and cinnamon baking in the oven? Apple Fritter is a unique combination of apple flavors, with a warm, sweet undertone and just a bit of spice. These flavors are laid over a great blend of quality Virginias, Burley and smooth black Cavendish. Here's your harvest treat!

Absolutely love this blend! Definitely tastes and smells like apples and cinnamon and is very aromatic. What I like about this blend though is how mild it is, it's total lack of tongue bite, and that it actually tastes like it smells in the bag.

Lights easily, burns well to the bottom of the bowl, no goopy residue when done. Burns cool and long too. In a medium sized briar, an average packed bowl lasts about 40 minutes or more. Unlike many aromatics, Apple Fritter doesn't leave a coating on your tongue after a bowl. Instead it leaves a pleasant cinnamon/apple aftertaste.

Highly recommended, particularly for aero fans and newer smokers, but I recommend it for just about anyone looking for a sweeter aromatic that's not laden with heavy toppings.

Well, well, well... as an unapologetic aromatic smoker I feel this blend is quite nice and would be awesome as a "don't think about it" blend while you are doing chores, fishing, or messing around in the garage.

In the bag, it does have a raisin-y smell with a top-end of green apple. Quite nice to be honest.

Upon smoking, it's on the easy side. Pipers who know how to keep a bowl going will have no trouble. For us mortals, it was not too difficult. Room note does show a pastry-like smell and is ok to smoke in mixed company. It won't any awards with those around you but, it will receive comments of the pleasant variety.

All in all, a mellow smoke. Not the kind of smoke to contemplate the issues of the day rather, something to enjoy during the daytime doing just about anything.

Two stars for now but, I will revisit this blend while I'm not so focused on analyzing it instead, just smoking it.

Apple Fritters have always been a favorite of mine, so when I saw this over at Pipesandcigars.com I quickly added it to my order. Well it lights easily and stays lit. The tobacco is very mild and provides a creamy smoke, BUT BUT zero (as in none) apple, apple fritter, or Apple anything flavor. Maybe I got a bad batch or Russ forgot to add the topping. Two stars for the nice easy (flavorless) smoke.
