Carey's - Soft Aromatic.
The aroma from the blend is exactly what the name says, it is indeed 'soft'! You get a really delicate chocolate and caramel aroma but it doesn't smell too heavily cased. Moisture is great, allowing it to be smoked straight away.
Upon the first few puffs I instantly agree with the title, Soft? What an aptly named tobacco! It is nowhere near as heavily cased as I would expect from an aromatic, just like the smell the casings can be pleasantly detected, both at the same weight but they are added more like 'condiments' rather than being what makes the tobaccos flavour. As well as the false flavours I can also detect the great sweet black Cavendish and the simple hay tones from the Virginia. The nicotine is quite mild, not unnoticeable but literally mild to medium. The name 'Soft' is also reflected in the tongue bite department, all along I don't get any from it. The room note is again quite light, more of a standard tobacco one with a slight sweetness to it.
Carey's Soft Aromatic is a good smoke but I award it three stars not four stars as it just lacks that extra wow factor!
