Gawith Hoggarth - American Vanilla.

This one has an amazing unlit aroma: an aroma that's prominently vanilla but you can also detect a slight liqueur hint. The mixture is more heavy with the Black Cav': it's about a 65 - 35 % split. The level of moisture is great, no drying time is needed at all, so I guess as this is loosely sold then the merit goes to Smoke King . com!

Once lit (only requiring a short touch of the flame) the flavour is very "relaxed". Again, as I found in the aroma, the prevalent additive is the vanilla, but there is a very nebulous addition of alcohol. I read that there may be a note of cherry in the smoke, to be honest though this is a taste that escapes from my palate. On to nicotine: fairly mild, one where it will require much inhalation to gain satisfaction. The actual smoke is of a full consistency, one of the thicker ones I have had. Tongue bite avoids me for the whole bowl long and the temperature of the smoke is more than pleasant, edging more towards the cool end of the scale.

For me, this blend is almost reminiscent of a lovely vanilla ice cream sat on the beach; it would be an amazing summer smoke!

Recommended.

One of the first tobaccos I tried. Mild, sweet and creamy. A pleasant slow smoke mild right to the bottom with very few relights needed. A morning tobacco with no tongue bite.
