Okay cherry vanilla fans, here's one for you. The pouch note of Cherry Cordial is absolutely enticing. Smells good enough to eat! I have only recently (in the last year or so) been experimenting with aromatics but have smoked a pipe for over 30 years and have seen many, many great tobacco's come and go. Most of these that have gone by the wayside are aromatics. I think P&C Cherry Cordial will be around a while. This is a very satisfying cherry blend good rich flavor and a really pleasant room note most will enjoy. The rich tones of Virginia tobacco shines through a pleasant sidenote crossed between vanilla/chocolate and cherry. Try this one in a cob. I'm gong to age this tobacco a bit and see how it tastes in 6 months to a year.

In appearance, Cherry Cordial is made up of black and brow ribbons of various lengths with the Cavendish dominating. It had a pouch note (bag note?) of cherry, chocolate, some type of alcohol, and a hint of vanilla. It was too moist for my liking so I had to dry it out some. An unlit sip brought the tastes of cherry and chocolate, and the initial light had a similar taste with the cherry in the forefront and the dark chocolate taste as an undertone. It seems like these two tastes are blended really well together as sometimes the cherry dominates, and sometimes the chocolate flavor takes over. It doesn’t burn too hot, and it worked best for me in filter pipes, churchwardens, and Falcons. The Cavendish taste does stay with you for quite awhile when the bowl is finished, and the room note is very pleasant. This blend had a good taste, but it isn’t quite the cherry blend I’ve always wanted to find. That said, aromatic smokers should give this one a try, it is one of the best cherry blends I’ve ever smoked.
