This bakkie is a medium between aromatics and rather on the strong sides natural tobaccos. I've never smoked anything like it in the mid aromatics.
I can't say what type of bakkies are in there; my wild guess would be black CA, black VA, maybe some dark kentucky and golden VA. There is no Latakia or orientals.
The pouch aroma is kind of sweet and fruity, but not overwhelming, rather discreet. The tobacco is in a broken, wide cut, somehow close to a broken flake, but very short in length 1" long in average. This is very dark brown and black leaves at 90% and 10% golden, also in wide, tick and short cut.
Filling is no proble, lighting takes a while, don't puff too hard or it will bite. It smokes very slowly, is very tasty and smokes dry. It's different that an all dark VA.
The room note is of a soft aromatic, the smoke satisfying. It doesn't really taste like an aromatic, it's closer to a natural bakkie.
Don't fill in the pipe too tight, it will never end otherwise!
It's far from being an all day smoke, but if you want a different bakkie, give this one a try.

I am not a huge fan of aromatic tobaccos, English mixtures are more my style. A friend gave me a tin of this to try, as it was not for him. I have found that most aromatics smell better then they taste, not so with this! In looks, it is an almost single color black. Long strips pack well. It burns evenly, and fairly cleanly for an aromatic. It is fairly mild, with a nice top note of citrus flavor. Definitely not an all day tobacco, but I find I do enjoy it sometimes after dinner. However, it needs a dedicated pipe (like most cased tobaccos).

A very unique mixture, 80% Black CA in big pieces mixed with golden loose cut Va.
Smokes dry and slow, very rich and tasty.
The tropical flavours do come out just slightly. For the rest it's the delicate sweetness of quality Black CA.
If you can put your hands on this one, give it a try. It's quite unique.
