The very nutty, earthy, woody, mildly savory, lightly molasses sweet burleys and burley cavendish are the components. The honey topping is rather rich as it moderately sublimates the tobaccos. The strength and taste levels are medium. The nic-hit is almost as potent. Won’t bite, but it burns a little warm. Has a few small rough edges, but won’t get harsh. Burns clean at a reasonable rate with a very consistent nutty, sweet flavor from start to finish. Leaves little moisture in the bowl, and requires an average number of relights. Has a lightly lingering, pleasant after taste, and room note. An all day smoke.

The bag note is a slightly sweet honey scent. It smokes like a good Burley to me, rather than an aromatic. Though it does get hot if you puff too fast. Absolutely no scratchiness or dryness. I could smoke this all day. The only reason I am knocking off a star is because the smoke is pretty thin, and if you try to puff harder for a fuller smoke it warms up fast. But I do very much enjoy it. Just sip it and the flavor is subtle, smooth, 'burley-style' delicious. I uploaded the pic btw, it's a choppy cut, but it is very soft to the touch.
Edited after some more time with this blend. I had to add another star to Highly Recommended. This tobacco is EXCELLENT. Now that I've used a variety of pipes (some pipes yield a more precise flavor profile), I can taste a beautiful complexity of flavors. Don't let the 'Aromatic' category for this fine blend scare you away.

Not unlike Peretti's Boston's best Cavendish, this is a very pleasant old school aromatic. But dont be put off, its not at all what people think of as aromatic these days. Its burley and cavendish. Mild honey note. Probably something else, too. Smokes pretty cool for this sort of tobacco. Everything Peretti does is of the highest quality. This is no exception. Good all day smoke if so inclined. 3 and a half stars.

Bag note is mild and slightly sweet, but not a ton of aroma. I am smoking this directly upon receiving from Peretti. The first thing to hit me the moment the flame touched was a strong floral taste and aroma; sweet but not necessarily honey. I have steered clear of Lakeland thus far but this is what I imagine it to impart. In overall taste and composition this reminds me of Amphora Full Aroma. It has many of the same qualities amplified. Of course FA does not have any floral aspect but the VaBur mild and sweet personality makes the Peretti the showy cousin. This is undoubtedly a very high quality tobacco. All the components scream (literally) quality. To my mind, though generally a mild smoke, this is not subtle by most definitions. This is a unique smoking experience to me. Honestly I taste Virginia and white burley, while the floral essence I am experiencing makes me wonder if there is any Oriental supporting. This is very sweet and tasty, but how much of it I can smoke is to be seen. Even arriving properly moist it burns very well. Mechanically there is nothing negative whatsoever to report.
