At first opening, the tobacco is coarsely cut and rather moist. With a color specter from very light Virginia to dark Black Cavendish in combination with the various size of the cut, this blend will change quite a bit from puff to puff and from bowl to bowl. The smell in the can smells of plum pudding and sherry/brandy, but mostly a general fruity, sweet smell. This flavouring is transferred over to taste in the smoke at a pleasant level, not to much, just a subtle hint as you exhale. But, the smoke still has a very sweet and round taste, because of the cavendish and sweet virginias in the mixture. This sweetness tastes very natural, making this a very pleasant smoke. This also goes for the room note, with has more of the fruity aromatics from the casing.

When smoking the first 5-6 bowls I had to lit it repeatedly because of the moisture in it. At this point it also gave a slight tounge burn at the end of the bowl. However, as the tobacco dried out, the bowls started to burn better, cooler, and the tounge bite disappeared completely.

My favourite tobacco!

PS: I tried this in both my small meer pipe and a bigger briar pipe. Definitively prefered the meer.
Pipe Used: Meerschaum with small bowl
