The cherry taste overpowers the almond. There was something artificial about it, too. The gold cavendish is toasty with a touch of citrus and honey, though it much sublimated by the toppings. Hardly has any nicotine. Burns a little fast, fairly hot, but even sipping it doesn't help the flavor much. Not very wet near the end, and needs few relights. That, and I believe the Tinderbox uses it for for their Cherry Almond blend. An all day smoke.

I tried this blend a while ago as a part of a sampler pack.
What I remember most about it was the tongue bite. Don't try to smoke it without a big glass of ice water and a bottle of Biotene handy. I refer to my notes for the rest.
The flavoring was almost well-done, but there was a hint of bitterness that crept in at frequent intervals. The tast was much more 'artificial cherry syrup' than it was almond. No tobacco taste was ever evident, even at the bitter harsh bottom of the bowl.
I was expecting more of a 'Creme de Almond' kind of flavor. It just wasn't there. Maybe this one would be good as a condiment in a cordial, but on its own, it quite simply misses the mark.
