Sissinghurst is an aromatic mixture based on ready rubbed Virginia flake, Brown Kentucky and Bright Virginia leaf. A tangy-floral aroma delivers distinct character. The outstanding tobacco basis adds harmoneously to the classic English-floral style. Sissinghurst, a full aromatic temptation for an appealing smoking pleasure.

Mild Mild Medium Very Pleasant

The ready rubbed Virginia flake is tangy dark fruit sweet with a drop of sugar and a fair dollop of earth. The bright Virginia is fruit and citrus with grass and hay notes. The brown Kentucky is smoky, woody and spicy sweet as a potent back up player. The floral, flowery topping is very mildly noticeable in every puff without distracting from the inherent properties of the tobaccos, and is a little less obvious by the time you get to the last third of the bowl. I think there’s a light fruit topping or casing, too. Well balanced, you’ll taste the complexity of creamy flavors in every puff all the way through. Burns smooth, and cool at an even rate with very few relights. Leaves just a trace of moisture in the bowl, and won’t bite. The strength and nic-hit are mild, while the taste is medium. An aromatic that works well without being boring for an pleasing all day experience as well as a dessert smoke. Has a delicious after taste and sweet room note.

Irish somehow...

The tobacco tastes like a bunch of flowers but in a nice way. It's like a sweet women's perfume. The sweet flower taste is never overwhelming. The natural tobaccos are allways there and the main actor.

Mild to Medium Mild to Medium Mild to Medium Pleasant

My first impressions: A REAL DELICACY! A typical parfumy tobacco from the "soapy" or IRISH tobacco family. And indeed Sissinghurst has that floral, geranium like aroma, quite similar to the famous Ennerdale flake, but is way better and cheaper!

I searched a decade for a mild-to medium style Irish tobacco. I think with Sissinghurst i found what i was looking for. An all day Irish tobacco of a fine quality. And I admit to adore this type of tobacco blends (like Great Dixter, Grousemoore, Ennerdale flake, St. Bruno, Erinmore flake etc.)

Sissinghurst has definitely more body than Grousemoor (that for me was to monotonous, as the tobacco contains only young, semi sweet virginias only).

The ready rubbed Virginias from Sissinghurst are sweet and tangy, with a drop of sugar and a fair odor of earth. The bright Virginias are citrusy, with a typical hay notes. Virginias dominate and provide a base, body to this blend. The burley (Kentucky) is smoky, woody and spicy sweet, but stay always in the backround.

The floral, flowery topping is very mildly noticeable in every puff without distracting from the inherent properties of the tobaccos, and is a little less obvious by the time you get to the last third of the bowl.

Overall a perfect Irish blend that is not too sweet. I would not call Sissinghurst an aromatic blend, since the through tobacco taste is noticeable in every puff. The tobacco itself is moderately flavoured (mild to medium).

Very well balanced blend. I taste the complexity of creamy flavors in every puff all the way through. Burns cool with very few relights and won’t newer bite you.

I LOVE SISSY !
