Milan Tobacconists Colonial Pastime
(3.86)
Burleys, Virginias, black cavendish and a touch of Latakia come together in perfect harmony to create this very unique mild-to-medium bodied blend. Subtleties of wild berries, rum, and hickory with a sweet spice on the finish remind us of days gone by when our forefathers cultivated and cured fine pipe tobaccos. The smoking qualities of Colonial Pastime are similar to that of an English pipe tobacco, but with the room note of an aromatic.

One of the better English/Aro blends I have come across. When you first light up you get a nice berry flavor. This stays a while but is not overpowering in any way. Tha Latikia comes through to give it that little spice. This is also a mild blend that you can smoke all day. I think any aro and or English fan would enjoy this.

Ooooh this Aromatic /English Hybrid is really interesting. CP is perfect for the smoker that enjoys the Latakia smokiness but needs an Aromatics room note either for smoking in the house or say at a BBQ with friends, family members that would not enjoy the aroma of an English blend. I did taste the hint of Berry and loved the interplay between the Latakia and aromatic flavors. Three stars as I would most defiantly recommend this blend but for me I only smoke English blends at night or before bed so I prefer to keep my Aromatics and Natural blends separate.

Savory and sweet work together in this blend to make for an interesting and desirable smoking experience. No bite, easy, to remain lit, and a flavor profile that is not overwhelming. Smokey Latakia is present but does not overwhelm. My recommendation is to allow for a bit of drying time, 20ish minutes, for maximum enjoyment.

This tobacco does indeed taste like an English blend but leaves behind an aromatic room note. The Virginias and Latakia are definitely part of the blend, but are melded nicely by the Cavendish. An all day smoke, you would be hard pressed to find a better blend.

This tobacco does indeed smoke like an English blend but leaves behind a very pleasant room note. It lights fairly easily but requires several relights. A very satisfying blend that deserves a place in my rotation.

This tobacco has a very satisfying quality about it. It really does smoke like an English blend but has an aromatic room note. The Latakia adds some smoky notes and robustness to it. The Virginias are present, but play well with the Cavendish. There is no bite, even when pulling hard on your pipe. The room note is very pleasant and the tobacco burns down to the bottom of the bowl to a fine white ash. Few re-lights are needed. Makes a great smoke anytime of the day or night. You won't be disappointed.

A very pleasant no bite blend, Colonial Pastime is a tobacco that will suit many tastes. It has enough nicotine for those who need it but leaves a very pleasant room note. The Latakia and Virginias are present, but are moderated nicely by the Cavendish. This blend will not bite, Another nice thing is that once you have done a char light, it stays lit. Burns cool and leaves a nice grey ash with no moisture at the bottom. Overall a fine tobacco worth trying. For me, it is now my all day smoke. I must add that Milan has the best customer service I have seen.
