Sutliff Tobacco Company Planters Punch D62

(3.00)
Planter's Punch was created in 1904 by a bartender at the Planter's Hotel in St. Louis. But it wasn't until the New York Times posted the recipe in 1908 that the drink gained popularity. This delicious concoction consists of rum, orange, pineapple, coconut, cherry and raspberry applied to a base of burley, Virginia and black cavendish.

OK. This stuff smells great. It is quite damp and needs drying. Even so, it burns hot, hot, hot. It also bites the tongue. In all good conscious I cannot recommend this blend. Mixing it with cube cut burley did not help.

This was a very good blend. The taste translates into the smoke, and the folks around you will encourage you to light this one up! Its nice and sweet, and the smell is outstanding........I cant say enough about how much I love this blend. It stays sweet from the time you light it right down to the end of the bowl. It only takes a couple of lights to keep it going also. I gave four stars to "Coconut almond" by Sutliff, but I like this one even more!!!!!!

A nicely done aro that certainly gives you the tropical note you would expect from the description. Flavoring isn't over-the-top and strikes a nice balance. The tropical nuance is present throughout - beginning to end. Although not in the description, I almost get a coconut hue as well from time to time. Burns nice throughout. No goop. If you're looking for something on the tropical front, this one will do it.

The tin note is very sweet. it's like a sugary sweet tropical drink. The tobacco is very soft to the touch and packs easily. It requires several relights. I am able to detect pineapple and orange flavors through out the smoke. Does not leave a goopy mess in the bottom of your bowel. A nice once in a while treat. Recommended

The taste was much like the fragrance, a rich clove-like scent and flavor. Oddly enough this blend brought to mind Dunhill's 2014 Durbar remake. Exotic. The flavor continued from beginning to end. Really enjoyed this one!
