Saw this in Walgreen on clearance. None of their other tobaccos were being cleared out. This made me curious so I looked up the other review and thought "why not"? I went home and lit some up in a new Missouri Meershaum and was very pleasantly surprised. However, after half a can (3-1/2 oz) it became irritating and I can't exactly say why.

A nice comfort blend at a nice price. Upon opening the tin you're met with a slightly sweet haylike smell. High quality leaf with no heavy casing but rather lightly seasoned, which classifies this as a non-aromatic. The leaf is a mix of light to dark reddish brown with specks of black here and there. Easy to light and stays lit. Flavor monotone at first, but stick with it as it becomes richer and fuller with each puff. There's a slight citrusy/peppery overtone (akin to chewing Big Red Gum). In a briar the pepper element is a bit more active but not overpowering. A good tamper or two will calm it down. Room note is a cross between Cappuccino, cloves and black licorece (each element balancing the other out). On a budget or not, a nice addition to anyone's rotation. Nice tin design to boot. Available in 3.5 oz can or 12 oz bags. Will definitely buy again.

Update 12/21/13 Bought two 3.5 oz tins at Walgreen's. Spread the tobacco out on a couple of paper plates for approx. 10 hours. Dried out until leave was slightly moist then placed in a tall glass tobacco jar with seal tight lid. The next day gave it a try. The end result: a mellow, rich and very rewarding smoke. One word of advice, buy the tins not the bags. Although the bags are a better bang for your buck, the tins which are labeled Blender's Gold Premium Quality Pipe Tobacco are far superior in taste and leaf used. Plus you don't get that plastic aftertaste that you do with the bags, or heavy casing. I recently purchased a few tins of Sutliff's Blue Danube. When I compared these two side by side, they were very similiar in cut, taste and smoking quality. BG Natural was just a tad spicier but very good nonetheless. In Short BG Premium blends are not to be overlooked.
