This is one of five blends in PL's English Sampler #4.

This is very tasty. Much fuller in flavor than expected from just Lat and Oriental. Every bit as good as Scene 1. Both are well worth trying.

One whiff of Orient Express Scene Two and you know right away that this is going to live up to its namesake. I have been going through a batch of two ounce samples from Park Lane about a year and a half ago. I haven’t yet smoked OE Scene One so I can’t make a comparison. In the pouch, this tobacco is cut to a wide ribbon, much in the same way many of the Murray’s era Dunhill blends were cut. OEST is comprised of mainly tan and darker tan ribbons and a medium amount of Latakia. At first light it’s Turkish all the way with the Latakia in the background. But it evens out quickly and the Lakakia rises to the occasion. I get a subtle sweetness by mid bowl. All in all, this is a decent, balanced, Oriental blend made with quality tobacco. It has some complexity, but I still prefer Turkish Mystery over OEST. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder as both blends are worth a try for Oriental lovers.
