Of all the cherry blends I have ever tried (and I have tried many in my pipe smoking days), this is the one most firmly lodged in my memory and that makes my taste buds dance with delight at the thought of smoking again. I think most pipe tobacco blenders feel some sort of duty to make a cherry blend; but if you do not really care for them yourself, why bother? Well, the owners at Tobacco Lane care for them and they created a delicious blend here.
The description for this blend is perfect - a sweet, black cherry. This is not one of those blends that tastes as if they dipped the tobacco in a Maraschino Cherry jar. No, no, no. There is in this blend all the sweetness and flavor of a freshly picked, ripe, dark as a plum, cherry. I smoked through it so quickly that I never tried mixing it with other blends, although I imagine it would be excellent to use if you have a blend you want to add some rich, cherry flavor to. Puff slowly on this; it is one to savor. And the non-smokers in the room, or outside, will all be giving you compliments on the room note.
