The toasted black cavendish offers a little brown sugar. The moderately rich vanilla topping overshadows the maple a little. Has very little nicotine. Won’t bite or get harsh. Burns cool and clean, and slightly slow with a very consistent flavor. Leaves just a little moisture in the bowl, and needs a few relights. Has a nice after taste, and can be an all day smoke.

Chimney Smoke embodies the classic Cavendish flavor and aroma which has always been a perfect base for creating fine aromatics in my experience. This one is no exception. It does have a light tobacco taste, but that's the point with Cavendish, since it shines in allowing the aromatic notes of the topping to be the focus. Pick a strong VA or VaPer if you want the straight tobacco experience. This blend reminds me of the very first pipes I smelled as a child around my elders etc. It simply has a smell and taste I love, perhaps its nostalgia, perhaps it's just my personal taste.
Anyway, this blend lights and stays lit well,,, DO NOT pack it tight,,, the more loose, the better. Tamp as you smoke to correct. If you start this one out tightly packed you won't be pleased.
The vanilla and other flavorings are just right for me, present but not over-powering, and the room note will have even the non-smokers nearby saying "Wow, that smells nice"
Stop by the Gatlinburlier, the staff is top notch, I've been stopping by for 8 years now, these guys love their work and are experts in the field, and a pure joy to talk to and do business with.
Chimney Smoke - Highly recommended

Chimney Smoke is a delightful Black Cavendish that goes to the top of my list. Smooth, cool smoking and a really nice flavor combo of Vanilla and Maple.
Pouch aroma is great and when lit this tobacco provides gobs and I mean GOBS of smoke. Burns well to the bottom of the bowl with no bite.
If you like Black Cavendish - you ought to try this one and be prepared to smoke like a chimney!

This is a smooth and cool burning smoke as well as an even smoke. The flavor stays for a while and the room note is by far the best; I get so many comments when I smoke this in cigar or pipe shops. I still have this in my favorite pipe and this is my go-to choice.
It does tend to be moist and not overly but does not gurgle (if allowed to rest properly)

Chimney Smoke was my inaugural tobacco, when I bought my first pipe from the Gatlinburlier in early 2008. 18 pipes collected, and dozens of tobaccos tried later, Chimney Smoke manages to remain my go-to tobacco for a relaxing, uncomplicated smoke.
I primarily favor English mixtures, from Presbyterian Mixture and Peterson Old Dublin, to Esoterica Margate, GLP Samarra and FMOTT. For that matter, most aromatic blends are harsh, gurgly tongue- friers for me. Chimney Smoke, though, seems to treat me right like no other tobacco blend or mixture.
It's an aromatic black toasted cavendish, so if you can't stand those, Chimney Smoke's not for you. Every pipe shop has a blend like this ("Black Gold," etc.), but I've tried several of them, and Chimney Smoke is smoother, evener and cooler burning, and retains its top-note flavor longer than any other I've found. It's got a room note to kill for, and has a complexity that still surprises me after two years of palate development. It's a little sticky, as any of its ilk will be, but not overtly goopy. It smokes a bit moist, but doesn't gurgle like most aros. The top flavor burns off by mid-bowl, but it still retains enough tobacco character to be enjoyable.
In short, Chimney Smoke ought to be a problematic tobacco, but instead it's proven an old friend, and is the only blend I keep around in significant quantity. My wife loves it for its room note, and I love it because it's a satisfying, untemperamental smoke that performs well in all my aromatic-dedicated pipes.

A typical dark black cavendish with a typically light taste. I mean extremely light. Almost tasteless. Fantastic tin and room notes.
I can't give this more than one star. However, those who enjoy this type of extremely mild blend, almost devoid of tobacco taste, will find this one extremely pleasing and far superior to any OTC offering.

I think this is Lane BCA but can't prove it. Has a good flavor, though, and I'm a big fan of the Gatlinburlier for their knowledge and service.

Prep: Quite wet. Give it some time to dry. Notes: The cavendish is toasted sugary and the vanilla is the predominant player. The maple is there not but real noticeable for me. Nothing that stands out too much. 4/10
