I really love this tobacco. I think for its genre, it is superb! It's a very mellow, smooth burley with a light topping. I think of it like a higher-quality and larger cut version of Prince Albert or Carter Hall (with a little more casing).
For flavor, there are hints of the chocolate you find in most burley tobaccos, and also a little nutty taste to me. The mild sweetness added is pleasant and not chemical-tasting at all, making for a subdued and pleasant semi-aromatic.
It really is a mild, all-day smoke. I like it especially in a plain old corn cob pipe. Burns very cool.
Room note? My wife said "Hey, that smells nice, kind of like a chocolate cake."
The product description says "cube cut," but I think it is more of a ribbon cut.

I like burley…SWR and PA are generally in my pipes…with an occasional venture to “Father Dempsey”. I was in DC for a few days and made the pilgrimage to Georgetown Tobacco. Wonderful store and staff. Asked about their in - house burley based pipe tobaccos. The woman pointed me to “1261” ..”This is our go to house burley . The “1261” was our old address.”
In the pouch is echoed by in the bowl. Great smooth and easy burley nuttiness with just a touch of sweetness. It isn’t a chemical sweetness taste, but more of a natural sugar mixed in with the tobacco. It’s cut for one light smoking (ribbon cut) and the moisture level seemed just about right. If you are looking from an all day smoke , with a pinch of sweetness , and a pleasant room note… try this. I’ll be ordering more.
