I did not know, until reading one of the reviews, that this blend was actually done in-house at Hays. That makes me doubly impressed. When sent a sample from a friend of mine who is fortunate enough to live in the area, I just thought it was from an importer. Nice taste in the truly refined English sort of way with the light hand one usually associates with Scottish style blends. if this one is kept true to form from batch to batch, then I think it is worth the time to get acquainted. Not a bad smoke at all, in fact a darned good one. Light English or a more moderate Scottish style with Perique.

This is one of the few Blends John B. Hayes makes in house. It is a wonderful alternative to Ed Burak's "Turkish Black". It is a lighter version of that tobacco. Pleasant room note and medium Turkish taste. Light on Nicotine but big on natural flavor. A very good all day English smoke.
