The Virginia is fairly grassy with a light citrus sweetness. The toasted cavendish is plain. The burleys are slightly nutty sweet. I get a hint of vanilla from the black cavendish. The hazelnut topping is weak and doesn’t hold up well, though it somehow hides much of the tobacco flavor. Has almost no nicotine. Doesn't bite. Burns a little fast and warm, and will leave some moisture at the finish. Needs few relights. An all day smoke. As it has all the drawbacks of Lane’s Hazelnut, I’m sure that is what this is.

I am convinced that Hazelnut is Lane's blend. I have the two sitting here in front of me and the cut, color, aroma and even taste are identical. It is very mild and not my favorite since the Hazelnut flavor is applied sparingly. The usual aromatic combo of Cavendish in light brown with some Black Cavendish sprinkled. Skip Hazelnut and go to London Dock or Evening Stroll.
