Milan Tobacconists Cherry Bon Bon
(2.50)
High quality, food-grade tobacco flavors have been used to give this pipe tobacco its authentic cherry and chocolate taste and aroma. This blend is extremely mild, yet the room aroma is very pleasant.

In my early piping years, I was constantly in search of the best cherry pipe tobacco. Caution was the key word when trying a new blend because they might be either goopy, chemical-tasting, or bitey. This blend has a wholesome, organic taste to it; no hint of chemicals or cough syrup, like some cherry blends. It tastes kind of like devils food cake with cherry topping and whipped cream. Another thing about the cherry/chocolate flavoring is that it is very subtle and not too rich. The base is of three different black cavendishes, which are smooth and creamy and will not bite unless pushed. The first time I smoked this, I let it air for 30 minutes and that wasn't quite enough. This time I waited 2 hours and it is smoking well, but I'd suggest even more time than that. Both times I smoked it in Missouri Meerschaums and was impressed with the creamy volume of smoke this tobacco can produce. It has body but is light in terms of nicotine. Both pipe bowls were noticeably dry after smoking and clearing the ashes.

The cavendish Virginia has a slight grass and honey note. I get a hint of nutty burley, too. You don’t notice them all that much. The black cavendish has a little vanilla. The cherry topping is mild without much depth, but it manages to tone down the tobaccos a bit. The chocolate is very mild in a support role. No real nic-hit, and no chemical taste. The tobacco needed a light dry time, but burned very smoothly with a consistent flavor at a decent rate. No bite. Leaves a little moisture in the bowl, but no dottle. Needs an average number of relights. Has a pleasant after taste and room note. A very mild all day smoke.

This is an enjoyable tobacco. Other (2) cherry blends I've sampled had a less natural taste to them than does this one. It may be described as sweet, not at all overpowering. Unsolicited, positive remarks were received regarding its' room note, out of doors. I originally ordered a sample size, and am gladly re-ordering a half-pound. Hope you enjoy it too.

It's as it says a lot of cherry flavor. Its reeks of cherry flavoring from the package, and as you pack it its very sticky but once finally lit (it can take a while) you'll be enjoying a very pleasant mixture of strong cherry flavours and chocolate aftertaste hints. Left me wanting for more from just a pipefull to taste(about an hour and a half long smoke) i smoked it in the car with the windows almost all the way up, so now my car has a very interesting smell that drives my girlfriend to want to steal my blend. She's the one making me write this review 🙂
