I found this packet at the bottom of my tobacco drawer. Grants sadly closed its doors in 2012 so this tobacco is at least 9 years old. However, upon opening the pouch the aroma was still there so I decided what the hell. Yes, it was very dry and I needed to be careful smoking it. Crazy as it seems it still had its flavor. It was a bit reminiscent of Grant's well known Emperor Norton. A bit woodsy, nutty with a wee bit of spice. It has quite of bit of burly but you definitely notice the Virginian as well. I'll miss Grants. It was a great place to go after work and before visiting Sutter Station Saloon a few doors down for a drink.
