Found this tobacco to be just alright. The tin note was interesting and fruity - I thought the enjoyable smell would transition into flavor notes during the smoke. Never really transpired for me with this one. Didn't pull through on the flavor note, nor did I find the tobacco pull through effectively either. It was just okay on both fronts. Flavor is subtle. Wife enjoyed the room note - I think much more than I enjoyed the smoke. Just a little too flat and uninteresting. Gave this one a shot throughout the year. Can't say it improved in any way.

This was the first Stanwell tobacco I have tried. It was on sale and the name caught my eye. I found the tobacco to have many of the qualities I look for (easy light, good burn, proper moisture), I found the taste and room note to be unremarkable, if not flat, and really struggled to find the vanilla and fruit that is promised. I do think I will give Stanwell another try, maybe Melange, but this product was disappointing.

As an avid aro smoker, I always keep some Stanwell blends on hand. The fruit and vanilla flavor is there, albeit mild. It doesn't bite, it's fairly dry from the tin, and it's a good smoke to relax with. It's not nearly as pleasing as Melange because it lacks the nuttiness that really sets that mixture apart. It's not a bad smoke though, and it's definitely the right way to enjoy an aromatic.

Just as I was checking out my order on P&C, I saw this in the sale section. Less than 6 bucks for a tin of Stanwell? Why not. Melange had a great flavor and was an enjoyable aro, couldn't see this one being much different. Order arrived, and I cracked the tin. Decent tin note. Fruity, but not sickly smelling. Vanilla is there too. lights and packs well. The flavor seems to drift off at half way point, but most do. Leaves an intoxicating room note the wife loves, and the dogs don't seem to mind. If I don't finish this tin, I can always offer it up to a guest looking to try the pipe. Stanwell seems to use quality tobacco. I'd have no problem recommending this to someone just starting out, or even the seasoned smoker (if you like aros)

Nice tobacco. Love aromatics, this one mildly flavored. The fruitiness and vanilla can be smelled in the pouch as well as tasted when smoked with smaller sips. Not too moist as well. Room note is just pleasant

Though it has all the advantages of the Stanwell tobaccos (no moisture, burns to the end, no tongue bites, smooth burning) the burning aroma is very neutral... nothing special for this great brand which produces the magnificent "Melange" and "Kir and Apple".
