This is very similar to the 2006. The tobacco came a bit more pressed than 06 and had a bit more honey smell but ironically a bit less honey taste. The Virginia tobacco had great sweet and earthy taste. As usual the tobacco was masterfully blended and burned very well. I like this tobacco and enjoyed my tin quite a bit.

A few years back I too a trip down memory lane by smoking some of the late Jay Jones Holiday Blends. Hermit 2007 was one of a minimal number of tins produced that year, don't know why. It was similar to a few of Jay's other holiday offerings with light Virginia taste coupled with a bit of an aromatic agent. I saw where another reviewer called it honey, but it didn't present itself that way to me, more like almond extract. A nice aromatic combination. I loved the tin art on this vintage, too!
