Orange Sherbet in my high grade briar? I almost would not try it on account of the name. But I have high confidence in C&D so I gave it a go. Very happy I did. I would, however, name it something like Citrus Ribbon or Orange Cavendish, etc., to not scare away too many folks.

Let me start by saying I am not an aromatic fan. I typically smoke VAs or English blends. But I am open minded and do enjoy a high quality aromatic here and there, so long as it has backbone.

This is a delicious tobacco. A blend of black and tan leaf. Black Cav. and VAs. It is flavored with a citrus/vanilla that is very pronounced in the pouch. It is dry to the heel of the pipe, however, and not typical at all of the goopy aromatics that are so readily available.

In the flavor dept. it has a nice citrus crispness that balances the round cavendish/va flavors. Sort of reminds me of Pipeworks & Wilke's Rumcake. Really keeps the palate fresh. The smell is very nice and would make most people happy. A heck of alot nicer than the smell of what I normally smoke.

This is not a beginners tobacco, however, as it will satisfy those looking for real tobacco goodness. In other words, it is not steamed beyond recognition like other aromatics.

Give this a try if you are a VA smoker looking for something different or even if you are a mild English smoker who can appreciate something other that Latakia.

A real nice tobacco by this great blender.

A very bland and flavorless blend. I couldn't taste anything even close to oranges and there was a bit of tongue bite. The room aroma was okay, though, and could work for someone who wanted a natural tasting blend with a better room aroma than normal. The problem with that is the "natural" tasting tobacco wasn't all that great either...

OK , yes , I tried this tobacco . I must admit I was curious . I didn't care for it .The pouch aroma smelled like oranges , as is to be expected . The smoke was pretty flavorless . The flavors of the tobacco and the flavoring just seemed to be in competition with each other and ended up cancelling each other out . Not a good combo IMO .
