A nice mix of coins, broken flake and ribbons. Smell from the tin is heavenly.
This has some truly wonderful flavors. There is a fruity, spicy topping that enhances the natural dark fruit and citrus flavors of the Virginias. The overall flavor is rich and the strength is satisfying. The only drawback for me is that there is a little sharpness on the retrohale. Just enough to drop this from 4 stars to three. Flavors are fantastic though.
Medium in body and nic. Added flavoring is mild to medium. Taste is medium to full. Burns perfectly.

I absolutely love Vauen's 160 Jahre and after sampling a tin of this offering not long ago, I order a dozen more to put in my cellar. Beautiful little spun discs of deeply rich brown mottled leaf with a smidgen of Black Cavendish centered and spiced with cinnamon. Just enough to perk up the palate with full and smooth tasting Virginia. The condiment, by the way, makes this the perfect blend for my first cup of coffee when I wake up. This one might just be my sleeper pick for tobacco of the year in 2017.
