Uhle's B&J's Cavendish

by far the best cherry aromatic i've ever had. You can taste the raspberry and cherry as well as the tobacco. There is no chemical type taste in the flavor. This is the second Uhle blend i've had and i'm impressed.

The burley is mildly nutty, toasty sweet. The black cavendish has a very minor vanilla essence, and provides smoothness to the experience. The rich raspberry and cherry toppings have a natural taste; no artificial, syrup, or chemical notes to be found. The raspberry is a little more obvious than the cherry. While they tone down the tobacco flavors a bit, all work well together to provide a rich, creamy smooth cool smoke with a consistent flavor that doesn’t flash off much at the finish, as some aromatics will do. No bite, not much nicotine, and leaves just a little moisture in the bowl, but no dottle. Requires a few relights, but not many. Sweet, but not overly so, which makes it one of the more comfortable and repeatable all day aros in its sub-genre. The strength is a little closer to mild than medium. A very pleasant after taste and room note add to the fun.

I have noticed that Uhles strength really lies in its AROMATICS and not their English mixtures. This is no exception. It smells fruity in the jar and tastes fruity in the bowl. An absolute crowd pleaser! The taste of Raspberry and Cherry really shines thru.It is sweet and dry. Like smoking a Loli pop!! One of their best, and a different Cherry aromatic. This is a solid aromatic. Very fruity topping that does not overwhelm the tastebuds. The room and mustache note are great. This is a crowd pleaser that the smoker can also enjoy. It is not very strong, but does not lack body in the least. The topping does seem to last throughout the smoke which is important to me for an aromatic.

I have now had the pleasure of trying a few Uhle's aromatics and I must say they are great and would change the mind of many people who feel American aros are goopy messes. This is not a four star blend for me, but for the type of aro, that this is, it is one of the finer ones I have tried.

I agree with the two previous reviewers, this stuff is great. The cherry and raspberry flavors are both there as well as the tobacco its self,a slight nuttiness from the burley. Also not overly sweet so you can enjoy this all day long and never tire of it. I get nervous when I am down to a bowl or two left in the pouch as I don't want to run out. Do yourself a favor and head on over to Uhles website and order some, you wont be disappointed, or call, the staff are very friendly and knowladgeable. I think smokers of all genres will enjoys this. also the roomnote is very pleasant.

Nobody does Burley better than Uhle's. And this famous old shop also has some remarkably good blends that many people have not heard about or tried due to Uhle's "niche" market. Back in 2008 I discovered this hidden treasure and purchased what was, at the time, tins and bags of all of their blends. I hope these Uhle's reviews will open the door for you to some really good stuff!

B&J's Cavendish provides not only Burley Cavendish that is flavored with the descriptive's fruit essence (I have trouble identifying fruit flavoring myself), but quality white Burley that is not bitter an never bites. The presentation is mild, sweet and uncomplicated. A good aromatic low in strength.
