Im sorry but this blend has changed into something i no longer recognise. Too bad it has not improved. It is just aweful now, what a horrible end to a legendary blend.

This is a very typical African tobacco....it has that quintissentially dry, rather spicy, aroma that seems to breathe out the hot African sun.
To my taste buds, African tobaccos all share a common base of flavour, completely different to the American grown varieties. Some, Malawian for example, have a heavier edge to them. They are more burnt, have an aftertaste and can give me a headache. Van Eerkoms Dry Aromatic Flake isn't like that at all though. Like nearly all the African pipeweed I have tried, it lacks the fine nuances of flavour that American VAs have; but none the less it is a very pleasant tobacco to smoke. It doesn't burn the mouth, it delivers a satisfying amount of Vitamin N and plenty of satisfaction.
As Mo said, this comes pretty dry and is very easy to rub out and load or you can just cram it in!
