As with most pipe smokers, I started with aromatics, then tried and enjoyed VAs and English blends. This is one of the few aromatics I keep on hand.
Dark in appearance, you really need to try a few bowls before she shows her charms. This tobacco has a sweetness that is not too sugary, and allows the underlying quality leaf to be detected and savored.
The taste varies throughout the bowl...coffee, then vanilla, then a bit of chocolate. I consider this a top-grade aromatic.
I strongly recommend this to anyone desiring a good aromatic, and also to those looking to move up from a 1-Q type of smoke.
