Thanks again to Altadis for keeping my local pipe club loaded with its blend of the month. Dorset Blend was well received recently by my club members. It is a ribbon/cube cut blend that is light on the Latakia and heavier on the Orientals and Virginia leaf.
Dorset Blend is not quite on a par with tinned versions of similar content, but you can't beat the price. It also burns clean, dry and cool.

I got a 1.5oz of Dorset blend from a recent box pass. To be quite honest, I didn't expect much. In fact, when I saw it, I nearly passed it by. I'm glad I didn't.
The cut is very interesting to look at and smells wonderful.
The flavor far exceeded my expectations. This mid-range English could be an all day smoke, as it is not overpowering in either strength or flavor.
I'll most likely be smoking more Dorset.
