This is a very interesting "Danish Virginia" blend. The sweetness that is common to many Danish blends is evident in the tin, and also in the smoke. I do not believe that this is a topping. The room note has a sweet component to it too.

The flavor starts out quite mild, but builds in the first third to a medium Va flavor. At this point, the sweetness is more of a background thing, but it does remain throughout the smoke. The flavor stays with you throughout the smoke, and the bottom of the bowl is as tasty as the middle.

No sign of harshness or bitterness at the bottom, and the smoke stays nice and cool all the way. It left the bowl nice and dry as well.

A note to fans of DGT... Not this one. The flavor got a bit unpleasant with a three hour DGT.

I don't think I will actively search for more of this one, but if I run across any, I won't hesitate to pick it up.

I bought this on a close out in part because I have enjoyed other tobacs from this company and the colorful tin with the hinged lid looked pretty attractive also. This says it has four different tobaccos from many parts of the world. It looks to be mostly medium to dark Virginias with some bright flakes and a very few black pieces mixed in. It has a very "Danish" character sort of an orangy honey sweetness that reminds me of Bjarne's product and a slight resemblance to McBaren's Golden Extra. Packs and burns quite well with only modest moisture. The predominate flavor is a very tasty Virginia. A little bit bitey however so don't let the pipe get too warm. Three and one-half stars.
